A Community Based Non-profit Corporation Registered as a Charitable Organization.

The Centre was established in August 1977 in Toronto and has evolved into a far-reaching program in Greater Toronto and adjacent areas by vigorous and progressive members of the Filipino-Canadian community.

The founding and core members of the Centre felt the need for a program which will make the integration of the Filipino newcomer in Canada with his/her own compatriot or "kababayan" and into the Canadian society in a painless and positive process of acculturation.

With this mission, the Centre takes on this responsibility of responding to the growing needs of Filipino immigrants, Filipino-Canadians and other members of various communities.

Kababayan Community Centre receives funding from: Citizenship and Immigration Canada Ministry of Citizenship, Province of Ontario, and the Municipality of City of Toronto.
