About the Event
🎒Our Back(Pack)-to-school program is returning for Newcomer youth!
We know that planning ahead can make all the difference in this start of the new school year. That’s why we’ve partnered again with Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA) to give away 20 free backpacks.
Whether you’re a parent preparing your child or a student planning for the next school year, we want to make sure you feel supported from the start. Youth, clients, and students who sign-up will be invited to a Back-to-School information workshop in September where they will be able to pick-up a free backpack on the same day.
(SPOTS ARE LIMITED)
Once you’re all signed up, our youth counsellor will reach out to coordinate with you to confirm eligibility and provide the date to pick-up the bag.
Who can sign up?
🧒 Ages 13 to 25
🌍 Permanent Residents (arrived within the last 5 years) or Convention Refugees

About ACSA

Agincourt Community Services Association provide access to many short- and long-term support services across seven locations.
Many of their programs center around newcomer supports, supporting children, youth, and families, emergency food access, and housing justice
They aim to holistically approach community building by being an integral and agile organization in their neighbourhood.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out at vtangco@kababayan.org.
We hope this small support goes a long way in helping you, or your child, feel prepared, confident, and cared for heading into the new school year.
