About the Event

In recognition of National Kidney Month, the Scarborough Health Network Filipino Community of Inclusion (FCOI), in collaboration with Kababayan Multicultural Centre and Filipino Centre Toronto, is hosting a community session focused on kidney health, nutrition, and prevention.

Research conducted in Toronto found that Filipino immigrants are at higher risk of advanced kidney disease requiring dialysis. This session will explore what this means for the Filipino community and highlight ways individuals and families can support kidney health through prevention, healthy eating, and early awareness.

Participants will hear from healthcare professionals and community speakers who will share practical information, personal experiences, and available resources to support kidney health and caregiving. Event Details
