About the Event
✂️ Kamalayan Konsciousness and Malaya Parkdale invite you to a free collaging and paper-making workshop. Through the process of making handmade paper, we will create collages that tell our stories using mementos, words, and photos that resonate with us. We will also explore the interconnections of our “papel sa buhay”
“Papel sa Buhay” is a play on words. The first meaning is the idiom that refers to one’s duty or responsibility in society, in the family or in relationships. The second meaning is the literal translation “papers in our lives,” including the ones we will be recycling and turning into brand new paper.
