For immigrants, no matter where you’re from, starting a new life in a new country is always a big adventure. Full of mystery, hope, discovery, and challenges along the way. If you’re a French-speaker, though it is an official language here, you might notice that it’s not always easy to find services where you can communicate comfortably, especially when you’re outside Quebec.
Having access to services in your own language is not just about convenience. It’s about belonging and finding a community who are going through the same journey as you. And with the decline of Francophone minority communities outside Quebec, it is also about keeping the French language thriving for future generations of Canadians.

With that said, thanks to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), here’s a list of French-speaking organizations across the GTA and Simcoe County with resources to guide you as you settle, find work, connect with a community, and build your new lives here.
