Seniors Support
CORE SERVICES
OTHER PROGRAMS
Since the 1990s, KMC has been dedicated to providing essential support to seniors in the Toronto. We understand the unique challenges faced by racialized and newcomer seniors, who are at high risk of social isolation. Language barriers, generational gaps, and cultural differences can hinder their integration into Canadian society. Additionally, racialized seniors are twice as likely to live in poverty compared to their non-racialized peers. With seniors making up 30% of the Canadian population, and nearly two-thirds of them being immigrants in the GTA, the need for support is greater than ever.
At KMC, we empower seniors by providing the essential resources and connections they need to thrive within the Canadian community.
We offer specialized support for newcomer and racialized seniors through supportive counseling, mentoring, and group information sessions on vital topics. We also provide interpretation services, assistance in navigating social services, and engaging recreational activities, helping seniors overcome barriers, build connections and enhance their quality of life.

“I have been part of the KMC Seniors group for over 10 years. Their kind staff helped me get my OHIP card, informed me about my benefits here in Canada, and provided free information sessions like healthy eating sessions. I am grateful for their expertise.”
